OK No Snow-Then I’ll Hike

by Michael on January 18, 2012

As some of you know I’ve been ranting, complaining, and whining, because we haven’t had any snow here to speak off. I love to cross country ski and it’s a little hard to do with no snow. They’re even warning people to stay off of some lakes due to the warm weather. Come on, this is MN in the middle of January and people are falling through the ice-NOT FUN!!!

So, I’ve decided to dig out my hiking boots and just hike on the ski trails and dream about gliding through the forest with my skis. Picturing all of the trees covered with snow, as if God decorated each one. As the saying goes, “If you can’t beat them, join them.”

One of the great things about living in Sherburne County is it has a huge wildlife refuge with lots of trails to choose from, which I’ll be HIKING this winter.
